KEPA MURUA (1962). Author of an unusual dignity by his imposed modesty and the scruple with he writes, his work is one of the greatest poetic’s adventures of present.

Regarded as a cult poet KEPA MURUA is author of the following books Abstemio de Honores (Honour Abstemious), Cavando la tierra con tus sueños (Digging the earth with your dreams), Siempre conté diez y nunca apareciste (I always counted to ten and
you never came), Un lugar para nosotros (A place for us), Las manos en alto( Hands Up!), Poemas del Caminante(Traveller’s Poems), Cantos del Dios oscuro (Dark God’s songs), and No es nada(It is nothing).

He has published a book of aphorisms titled La poesia y tú (Poetry and you), La poesia si es que existe (Poetry if it exits), and Del interés del arte por otras cosas(Of Art’s interest for other things) and artistic books such as Cuando cierras los ojos (When you close your eyes), Flysch, Itxina, and Faber.

His poetry stands out for the brilliant combination of intimate reflections from a world of complex feelings and the expression of a poet committed to his environment.In 1996 he set up the publishing house Bassarai, an independent literary project wich in recent years has surprised readers and specialised critics alike with its quality and originality, and in 2000 he created the enzine Luke (www.espacioluke.com), a space for intercultural communication through art and literature.
